Practical Application of Machine-Learned Antibody Discovery Libraries
We constructed two antibody display libraries using a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) machine learning algorithm. ML pattern recognition of IgG human repertoire has enabled application of V(D)J-gene diversity of CDRs and frameworks into our Just Humanoid Antibody Library (J.HAL). The phage Fab library has exhibited success in multiple discovery campaigns and is currently undergoing diversity expansion to improve success rates. The yeast VHH library has demonstrated value for novel therapeutic discovery.

Using Automation to Generate High-Throughput Workflows for Stable Cell Line Development
The Just-Evotec Biologics CLD platform is optimized to decrease development timelines and increase throughput by using automation from transfection through RCB creation. Our high-throughput transfection method allows us to simultaneously screen 96 transfectants in stable pools to identify more manufacturable molecules with a reduced timeline. Using automation, we are capable of screening over 350 clones allowing us to identify cell lines with high productivity and favorable product quality attributes.

Alicia BarkerSenior Associate Scientist Cell Line Development
Alicia Barker is a senior associate scientist in the cell line development team at Just-Evotec Biologics located in Seattle, Washington. She has led the development of multiple cell lines expressing therapeutic drug candidates. Recently, Alicia has been responsible for the design and implementation of high-throughput methods and automation to increase the bandwidth of CLD capabilities.
Rutilio ClarkScientific Director Discovery
Rutilio is the scientific director of antibody discovery and optimization at Just -Evotec Biologics in Seattle, WA. Prior to Just he was at Amgen advancing many aspects of antibody therapeutic design, production, characterization and development. He received his Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of Washington in 2000.
